Modern Weekend Home Located in The Dessert
The instruction from the future occupants was to create a cozy weekend home with a minimalistic interior and exterior design. Located in the desert on the outskirts of Los Angeles it had to be built with resistant building materials to cope with extreme heats, colds and earthquakes, and easy to maintain. The use of simple materials, only a few colors, terrazzo floors all over the house are creating a spacious effect on a relative small surface and are reducing the maintenance since this relaxing home design for suburban people is mainly used during the weekends.
